This website has been designed specifically for the bike enthusiast interested in bicycles that are off the beaten path, so to speak… over the years, I have become progressively more and more involved in the cycling community, investing significantly in R&D. My passion has always been simplicity and functionality with respect to benign forms of transportation. For a world that has been reinventing the car for more than 100 years and always seems to come up with the same variation of an outdated design, the bicycle, in all its simplicity, still remains a marvel that continues to bring joy to children and adults alike without denuding our finite petroleum reserves in the process of getting from one place to another. I have worked in the automotive industry developing motor controls for electric vehicles and, although EVs have their place in society, they are still less sustainable than the tried and true 2-wheeled bicycle. As a result of my extensive interest in engineering development and my continued adoration of the rolling companion, la bicyclette, I have decided to share some of my experiences with road bike enthusiasts over the past 20 years in the hopes that you may grow to appreciate what I have discovered.

As you may have well discerned, this website is in it’s infancy, so please bear with me as I endeavor to develop it… I will be adding bicycles and parts that I have found over the years which provide the best value for the money in terms of durability and engineering design. I am familiar with many of the best resources online for those interested in buying bikes and bike parts that I will be sharing. I review all the major bike publications and websites and will be offering tips to help others avoid some of the pitfalls I have come across in my life of cycling over the years… I am striving to add a mixture of user submitted articles and news as well as provide a forum in the next few months as this site grows. Please feel free to let me know your thoughts. If you have anything to share or just want to submit an article about your experience with a particular product or experience, then submit it in the comment box of the contact page. I will be happy to review it and more than likely quickly publish it here on VeloBikeParts…

Thanks and Cycle On!
